Congratulations to Diana L. Leyden on her selection as a Special Trial Judge of the United States Tax Court. Ms. Leyden has had a distinguished career both in private practice and the public sector. During her career, from 1999 to 2015, Ms. Leyden served as Director of the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic at the University of Connecticut School of Law. This makes Ms. Leyden the first Tax Court Judge to have served as the director of a low income taxpayer clinic. Ms. Leyden will make a fine STJ, and we are excited about the unique perspective she will bring to the Court.

Great news! Congratulations, Diana!
In 50 years of study of tax law and posts here, I find no cases where judges apply laws AGAINST IRS, AND ALLOW A JURY TO AWARD DAMAGES. But for a few bankruptcies where big creditors had powerful law firms; all kicked on pleading [catch my drift?]. I read an article by a clinician and thought she might be a prospective lawyer to sue on a class action. I find she is co-opted/diffused by IRS and, as an adjunct prof I can’t even find an email for her. [Her former criticism, like our hopes appear all but dead]. ARE THERE ANY WHO WILL SUE IRS? IF SO, I CAN HELP YOU RETIRE EARLY.
